Petrina Hicks’ new body of photographs explore the continuities between ancient culture and contemporary life. Against a stark studio background these works probe ancient archetypes, symbolism and the opposing forces between strength and fragility.

The exhibition is currently on in Berlin, at Michael Reid Gallery (Berlin), and will be shown in our Gertrude Street Gallery in August 2015.
