THIS IS NO FANTASY will be exhibiting the work of Ali Tahayori and Alexandra Standen. Both artists draw on ancient Islamic traditions and disciplines, reframing them in the modern world. Surface and refraction are defining features of both artists’ practices. Their seductive veneers are disrupted by traces of the human hand, creating works that are alluring and enigmatic.
