Charles Robb in McClelland Sculpture Survey and Award
McClelland Sculpture Survey and Award opens this weekend featuring
Charles Robb.
Robb's new major work entitled
Heavy Weather, features a high-jumping athlete, surmounting a monolith. This work seeks to bring these two opposing forces together. Immovability and vaulting athleticism, assertiveness and ungainliness – this sculpture represents the fraught relationship we have with the world and its objects.
The prize is to be announced this Sunday and the exhibition on until 14 July 2013.
