Congratulations to Juan Ford and Victoria Reichelt
We are pleased to announce that Juan Ford
has been shortlisted for the Wynne prize, and Victoria Reichelt
for the Sulman, both at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
Running along side the Archibald, the The Wynne Prize is awarded to the best landscape painting of Australian scenery in oils or watercolours or for the best example of figure sculpture, by an Australian artist and Juan was shortlisted for his 2010 work Nobody is Necessary
, pictured above.
Victoria's work New York, New York
is in the running for the Sulman, also in conjunction with the Archibald. The Sir John Sulman Prize is awarded for the best subject painting or genre painting or mural project by an Australian artist.
And in more good news, project artist Giles Alexander has been shortlisted for the Archibald
