Australian artists take the global stage
Collection: MCA x Tate showcases Australia’s recent and ancient cultural histories through a First Nations lens. The exhibition brings together works from 32 Australian artists and features key works from the 2015–2022 MCA and Tate International Joint Acquisition Program.
Following the success of A Year in Art: Australia 1992 at Tate Modern, which welcomed over a million visitors, this presentation conceived for the MCA reframes the co-acquired works by 31 artists for an Australian context, and a focus on themes of transnational exchange, land migration, memory and continuity.
