A rare group show takes over the gallery, featuring artists who have all recently achieved significant career milestones.

Since it’s establishment in 2010, THIS IS NO FANTASY has been recognised for discovering and managing the careers of a small, select, and diverse group of artists shaping Australia’s art discourse, both locally and internationally. Our artists’ practices are characterised by rigour, critical engagement, and a strong personal aesthetic. Central is an examination of entrenched historical narratives, power structures, and a vision for change.

Resolutely committed to keeping our gallery stable small, and our home base in Melbourne, the gallery’s dynamic annual program of exhibitions continues to be complemented by a strong focus on off-site and institutional exhibitions globally with regular participation in international art fairs and public projects.

We are particularly proud to present this strong group of artists who have all had major achievements recently, and celebrate their successes with this standout group show.
