Congratulations to Kevin Chin and Neil Haddon who have been selected as finalists in the Gold Coast Art Prize 2014. The prize, totalling $30,000, is in its 46th year and showcases excellence in contemporary art. Key trends include urban life, environment, digital technologies and globalism.
This year the prize will be judged by Dr Chris McAuliffe, formerly Director of the Ian Potter Museum of Art. The winner will be announced on 6 December and the works of all finalists will be on exhibition at the Gold Coast City Gallery until 8 January.
Kevin Chin was recently chosen as Runner Up in the Redlands Art Award 2014 and is currently a finalist in the Grace Cossington Smith Award and the Fishers Ghost Art Award.
