Michael Cook in Sydney

Michael Cook is featuring in Debil Debil, an exhibition curated by Professor Marcia Langton AM at Anna Schwartz Gallery Sydney (20 April - 8 June). The exhibition combines works by artists including Brook Andrew, Gordon Bennett, Daniel Boyd, Destiny Deacon, Ricardo Idagi, Danie Mellor, Tracey Moffatt, Darren Siwes, Christian Thompson, Warwick Thornton, r e a and Nawurapu Wunungmurra.The subjects of many of this group of artists are recognisably characters from the dark past of frontier of Australian anthropology and history; sometimes human, sometimes ancestral, but always carrying multiple meanings.
