Now Representing Abdul-Rahman Abdullah

Abdul-Rahman Abdullah studied at the Victorian College for the Arts (2010) and attained his Bachelor of Art (Fine Art) from the Curtin University in 2012. His work explores definitions of identity and belonging, and emerges from his Muslim heritage that is both seventh-generation Australian & Malay. Abdullah has held two solo exhibitions in Perth and has participated in key group exhibitions such as the Substation Contemporary Art Prize, Melbourne, 2013; The Blake Prize, Sydney, 2013; Islam Contemporary, Whitney Centre for the Arts, USA, 2013; Project HOME, Cockatoo Island, Sydney, 2013; and the City of Swan Art Awards, Perth, 2011 & 2012. Recent awards and grants include: Encouragement of Australian Contemporary Art Award, Qantas Foundation, 2013; Development Grant, Department of Culture and the Arts (WA), 2013; and Artstart, Australia Council for the Arts, 2013.
