We are excited to announce that we will be working with Izabela Pluta as a represented artist. Her recent installation, on things mended and broken, was a pleasure to have in the gallery and we look forward to supporting her practice and future projects.
Pluta’s work derives from personal encounters with certain places. She incorporates photomedia and installation to create spaces on the periphery of vision – places noticed momentarily and forgotten. Each depicting a form of aging or decline: vanished places, experiences, intervals or instants.
Izabela has a number of projects on the horizon, including exhibitions at Monash Gallery of Art this August, Gippsland Art Gallery early next year and a residency at the University of Ulster in Belfast, Ireland in October 2011.
For more information on Izabela, see her artist page on the website or email us to find out more.
