Yhonnie Scarce is on a month-long tour of the USA with a whirlwind schedule of events.
Last week she spoke to a packed auditorium as a part of the Seattle Art Museum's public lecture series. The lecture discussed her own practice and response to the Museum's current exhibition entitled Ancestral Modern: Australian Aboriginal Art from the Kaplan & Levi Collection.
Yhonnie has just begun her residency at the Kluge Ruhe Aboriginal Art Museum, University of Virginia where she will be working with the academic community and presenting a solo exhibition.
At the end of the month Scarce is speaking at the Aboriginal Art Symposium at Hood Museum, Dartmoth College, New Hampshire. This program is facilitated by Stephen Gilchrist (former NGV Indigenous Curator who is now based in the USA.)
