Yhonnie Scarce in the USA
is on a month-long tour of the USA with a whirlwind schedule of events.
Last week she spoke to a packed auditorium as a part of the Seattle Art Museum's
public lecture series. The lecture discussed her own practice and response to the Museum's current exhibition entitled Ancestral Modern: Australian Aboriginal Art from the Kaplan & Levi Collection.
Yhonnie has just begun her residency at the Kluge Ruhe Aboriginal Art Museum,
University of Virginia where she will be working with the academic community and presenting a solo exhibition.
At the end of the month Scarce is speaking at the Aboriginal Art Symposium at Hood Museum, Dartmoth College
, New Hampshire. This program is facilitated by Stephen Gilchrist (former NGV Indigenous Curator who is now based in the USA.)
